Energy Co-ordinator

Peterborough Limited are recruiting a permanent, Energy Co-ordinator to work full time (37 hours per week), based in Peterborough.

We are looking for a new Energy Co-ordinator to act as a key part of the Business Management Team supporting the asset management contractor and maintenance contractors ensuring a good working relationship exists between Housing Authority Partners and the company.

Based in Peterborough, this is a full time, permanent role with a starting salary of £28,000 per annum. What does the role involve?

  • Responsible for the coordination of assets, projects and services delivery within the energy management team remit, ensuring optimum service is provided.
  • To actively manage the Company’s utilities, including but not limited to billing, usage tracking and usage reduction initiatives.
  • To act as the lead for Solar PV asset management for the Company, and main point of contact for the Customer Queries.
  • To handle customer queries and complaints relating to energy management and solar services.
  • Ensure that reactive and proactive maintenance is undertaken in a timely, safe and cost-effective manner.
  • Liaise with stakeholders, ensuring the portfolio meets its commitments.
  • In collaboration with Project Manager, design, implement and manage an asset lifecycle management program.
  • Ensure high quality, effective service to homeowners, tenants, businesses and Housing Association on whose building’s assets are placed and act as stakeholders in our contract.
  • Ensure suppliers, contractors and asset management stakeholders work safely and effectively.
  • To act as the escalation point for all Energy management related complaints from individuals, companies and government bodies.

What are we looking for?

Catering Assistant- Flag Fen (12)

To provide a professional, friendly and efficient service to customers, understanding their needs and requirements

  • Provide advice/assistance to ensure the customer receives a prompt service within comfortable surroundings

  • Ensure products, equipment and furniture are cleaned, maintained and fit for purpose reporting breakages promptly

To maintain housekeeping standards:

On a daily basis:

  • Ensure all servery bins are emptied, liners are tied securely before depositing contents in the external waste bin and liners replaced
  • Sinks to be cleaned and floors moped

Start and end of day routines to be adhered to, with particular attention paid to coffee machine, griddle, oil changes, fryer, bainmarie plus standards as defined in the safety log book:

On a daily basis:

  • Thoroughly wipe down and polish all kitchen machines
  • On an ongoing basis:
  • Wash out and thoroughly clean all fridges, freezer, coffee machine and dishwasher

On an adhoc basis:

  • Liaise with the Manager to review and make any changes to the menu
  • Working within a catering environment
  • Working within a busy customer facing environment
  • Working knowledge of till systems
  • Stock taking – to monitor stock levels and placing orders when necessary
  • GCSE or equivalent in English and Maths
  • Food safety catering level 2 or above

Tree Surveyor

Aragon Direct Services (a trading name of Peterborough Limited) are recruiting a full-time permanent tree surveyor to work as part of their tree team based in Peterborough, providing services to a large local authority client.

Managing a large and diverse tree stock; ranging from street trees, parks, open spaces and woodlands, the successful candidate will be responsible for undertaking cyclical and reactive surveying, as well as providing technical advice and support to a variety of stakeholders on tree related matters. This includes members of the public, Council officer and members.

This is an exciting opportunity to work with a progressive client where the management of their large tree stock is a key priority, and thus supported with the budget to reflect their vision.

As a Tree Surveyor you will be working within a small team of tree surveyors managing our client’s large and diverse tree stock; ranging from street trees, parks, highways, open spaces and woodlands. The successful candidate will be responsible for undertaking large scale cyclical and reactive surveying and providing technical advice and support to a variety of stakeholders on tree related matters.

Key Deliverables:

  • To undertake a rolling programme of surveying and inspection of our client’s trees (highways, parks, open spaces and woodland). To include species identification, risk/hazard identification (THREATS) and assessment.
  • To undertake reactive surveying in respect to adhoc enquiries, storm damage etc
  • To accurately record all inspections and surveys using Ezytreev via handheld devices.
  • To assist in the preparation of immediate works orders as well as cyclical work programs for our external tree contractors based on survey findings using the Ezytreev system.
  • To liaise with operational teams and contractors to ensure that all arboricultural works are carried out in accordance with good arboricultural practice.
  • To deal with resident and Councillor enquiries in relation to our client’s tree stock and communicate findings and actions in an appropriate format/manner.
  • To provide advice on tree related matters to various stakeholders including clients, Councillors, colleagues etc.
  • The ability to identify trees and diagnose disease, decay and structural defects, and make informative decisions on the required immediate and future works of our trees in line with good arboricultural practices and the Council’s Trees and Woodlands Strategy.
  • The ability to identify and prioritise appropriate works based on survey findings.
  • The ability to plan and prepare tree planting schemes.
  • The ability to effectively communicate arboricultural information and survey findings, both verbally and in writing, to a variety of stakeholders’: the public, Council Members, Council Officers and external organisations.
  • The ability to manage customer/resident expectations and appropriately communicate findings and decisions in a professional manner.

Experience/Requirements:

  • Relevant practical and theoretical experience of good arboricultural practices.
  • Relevant practical and theoretical experience of undertaking visual tree assessments.
  • Relevant experience of dealing with customers or other stakeholders on tree related matters.
  • Relevant experience in ICT skills including MS Office applications.
  • Excellent tree and pest/disease knowledge and identification skills.
  • A practical understanding of the THREATS Tree Hazard and Risk Evaluation system.
  • Current knowledge of industry best practice.
  • Effective IT skills including MS Office and survey data collection software with aptitude to learn new technology
  • A wider understanding of basic tree related ecology & environmental matters

Qualifications:

  • An appropriate and related professional arboricultural qualification (Level 3-4 Certificate/Diploma or equivalent to minimum QCF level 3).
  • Lantra Professional Tree Inspector certification (desirable but not essential). We would support the attainment of this within 6-12 months of employment
  • Full driving licence (and use of own car for business use)

Grounds Maintenance Operative (Driver, Seasonal-Perm)

Aragon Direct Services are looking for seasonal Streetcare/Grounds Maintenance staff to work as part of their Streetcare team based in Peterborough.

Successful candidates will be offered a 6-month, fixed term contract, and for right candidates with the right attitude this fixed-term contract could lead to a permanent role within the Streetcare team at Aragon.

Working hours are 38.5 hours Mon-Fri, to include a Friday finish at 12.45pm every week.

Service delivery will include;

  • Undertaking all aspects of grounds maintenance including grass cutting, strimming, shrub cutting, hedge cutting/pruning, planting, weeding, sweeping, sport pitch maintenance, litter picking etc.
  • Driving company vehicles (up to 3.5T) and operating light plant and machinery in built-up urban areas
  • Ensuring daily work schedules are followed, and to a consistent high standard.
  • Completing training in the appropriate equipment and safe methods of work
  • Completing appropriate safety checks on all vehicles and equipment, carrying out maintenance, and reporting defects as required.
  • Liaising with members of the public, other team members, managers and sub-contractors in a professional and courteous manner.

Passenger Transport Driver

Aragon Direct Services (a trading name of Peterborough Limited) are recruiting a part time  Passenger Transport Driver to work as part of their team based in Peterborough.

The main purpose of this role is to maintain a safe environment for pupils accessing transport services. Where required, working with a passenger assistant to provide high quality school transport service throughout the designated area, providing the service user with a positive experience of our transport services and reflect the values of Aragon Direct Services.

Hours of work – Monday to Friday, Term Time Only. 07.15 – 09.15 and 14.30 – 16.30 (split shift)

What does the role involve?

  • To collect and deliver allocated clients from designated pick up points, to their destination, ensuring at all times that they are safe and comfortable, and that when travelling all occupants of the vehicle are securely strapped in position using the full range of restrain systems provided.
  • Report any concerns over behavioural, physical, mental or other health needs of the clients to the school and/or line manager. Completing accident forms where required.
  • Deliver the clients to the safe custody of their designated drop off point.
  • Complete regular bus pass checks and report any issues.
  • To undertake daily vehicle checks before use and at the end of each day (brakes, oil, water, tyres, cleanliness and any vehicle damage).
  • To keep tidy, whilst in possession, the vehicle (inside and out) and to report when interior/exterior clean is required.
  • Responsible for maintaining and conducting oneself in a professional manner towards colleagues and other agencies.
  • Display a good attitude to our clients, school staff, visitors, public and colleagues.

Licencing Requirements

  • Section 19 drivers require a full driving licence with category BE,C1, C1E, D1 and D1E on the licence.

As part of the Induction process all applicants will undergo a drug and alcohol test, in addition to an enhanced DBS check.
